Xperia Z5 Compact defected with touch screen issues

Users with the white Xperia Z5 Compact have reported that they are experiencing a touch screen problem on their brand new phone. The touch screen (specifically the on-screen buttons) don’t respond to touches at all, or when typing, it will register multiple inputs with just one press-and-hold. The most reports on the problem came from users with the Xperia Z5 Compact unit, so it may not affect the other colours of the same phone (hopefully).

Locking and unlocking the phone solves the issue for some time, then the issue is back again. Reinstalling the firmware, factory resetting the phone and booting the phone in safe mode won’t solve it. It is not known that whether this issue is a hardware issue or software issue. Sony has responded that they are looking into this, but no respond after that. Hopefully the issue will be solved and potential buyers won’t be scared of issues again.

The videos that we embed below demonstrates the bug. See it in action.
